"Regarding SAFE [...] it is a big challenge, yes, and a very difficult decision facing the President," said Zbigniew Bogucki at a press conference.

"As for these amendments, we do not hide the fact that they were discussed to some extent here by the President's administration [...] also with government representatives," he continued.

"These amendments were meant to go much further. In this regard, there is no satisfaction on the President's side, because not all the amendments that, it would seem, we even agreed upon, meaning, not disputed, have been included. These two amendments, the one concerning budget issues and the one concerning control or reporting [...] these are good amendments, but whether they change the image of the act, I do not know," he went on to say.

"The President must answer this in the end, when the act in its final form lands on the President's desk. The very dangerous issue of conditionality still remains," he added.
