- The law to lower electricity bills [authored by the president] is not needed because at the moment we already have tariffs approved by the regulator, by the Energy Regulatory Office (URE), at a level that recently required legislative intervention. Already without the law, based on the tariffs submitted by energy suppliers, the URE has approved tariffs at amounts that until now we had to, forgive the word, force through legislation.
