- As a parliamentary club, we have prepared a draft resolution obliging Donald Tusk's government to challenge the decision of the Council of the European Union of January 9 this year, a decision based on which the agreement with South America, the Mercosur agreement, was introduced - said Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference.

- This decision should be challenged because it allows for the temporary application of this agreement [...] it is a fulfillment of German expectations, which are contrary to Polish interests, especially the interests of Polish farmers, the Polish countryside - he continued.

- Yesterday, the agriculture committee rejected the draft resolution I just mentioned, thus rejecting the possibility of challenging, meaning stopping the temporary validity of the Mercosur agreement - he went on to say.

- We will demand that this agreement be terminated, and earlier, that it be challenged through decisions in the Court of Justice of the European Union, but for the case to reach the Court of Justice of the European Union, a motion must be filed by the government, so we will consistently demand that such a motion be filed - he added.
