- We guarantee everyone the right to a fair trial. We see today that these trials are being conducted very transparently. The media have access to everything, every suspected person has the right to defense. Politicians even usually have three lawyers in these proceedings - said Waldemar Żurek at a press conference in Olsztyn.

- I would certainly see such a possibility, that if there is no so-called fear of tampering and fear of flight, then anyone who is suspected, or has already become a suspect, because charges have been brought against them, could face proceedings while free, because we know the grounds for applying pre-trial detention - he stated.

- But I have the impression that former minister Zbigniew Ziobro is, unfortunately, putting himself in a bad situation, because he is not appearing before the Polish justice system. He is ignoring it despite the fact that his colleagues or other politicians, like Mr. Matecki, are facing proceedings while free, and such a possibility would exist, but the former minister is evading justice - he pointed out.
