Czarzasty Attacks Nawrocki:

Can't You Afford to Tell Trump He Did a Disgraceful Thing?

Michał Lubowicki

- President Trump referred contemptuously to soldiers other than Americans who fought on missions. This is a scandalous statement. It should never have happened and should be condemned by Polish politicians. Our soldiers fought, died, and are worthy of every good word, every praise, and immense respect - says Włodzimierz Czarzasty in a recording published on social media.

- Meanwhile, President Nawrocki said: "There is no doubt that Polish soldiers are heroes. They deserve respect and words of gratitude for their service. 44 brave Poles perished in Afghanistan. 43 soldiers and one civilian will forever remain in our memory." Really? Can't you afford to tell President Trump: "You did a disgraceful thing, you forgot about soldiers other than Americans"? - asks the Marshal of the Sejm.

- Mr. President, you won't achieve anything for Poland by kneeling. You can take an example from the Prime Minister of Great Britain, who said: "I will never forget their courage, bravery, and the sacrifice they made for the country. I consider President Trump's statement to be offensive and, frankly, scandalous. I am not surprised that it has caused so much pain to the relatives of those who died or were wounded" - he continues.

- And what happened? Trump immediately responded to those who don't kneel before him: "The great and extremely brave soldiers of Great Britain will always be with the United States. 457 people died in Afghanistan. Many were seriously wounded, and they themselves belonged to the greatest warriors. The British Army is second to none. We love you all and will always love you" - he quotes.

- Mr. President Nawrocki. It is possible? It is possible - Czarzasty concluded.
