- President Nawrocki, on September 3rd, and especially recently during his talks with President Trump, has been speaking about a permanent presence [of American troops in Poland], and that is a true revolution. If President Nawrocki succeeds in convincing President Trump of this, and we know that President Duda has already begun this work, [...] it will immensely strengthen Poland's security. That's why I support this in every way - said Mateusz Morawiecki in an interview on the Didaskalia channel.

- We are talking about a presence in Lower Silesia, about strengthening the permanent presence near Poznań. Wherever that base might be, although of course I would most prefer a permanent base on the right bank of the Vistula, but wherever it might be, [...] a permanent presence of American troops, like the one in Italy or Germany, would enormously highlight Poland's role in this part of the world - he continued.

- And if you were Prime Minister today, deciding, among other things, about financial flows, if this permanent base was something we received in exchange for a billion dollars as an entry fee to the Peace Council [...], would you be inclined to persuade the Minister of Finance to find a billion dollars to join, and in return, we would actually get that base. Is it worth paying for? - asked Patrycjusz Wyżga.

- A billion dollars is 3 billion 600 million zlotys. Poland's GDP at the end of last year was approximately 3 trillion 900 billion zlotys. We are therefore talking about a small amount in relation to GDP. [...] All of this causes that, looking at such an amount, I naturally have respect for all funds and they are important, but of course, yes - that is my answer - replied the Deputy Head of PiS.

- If it were a quid pro quo, and that's what President Trump is like, that's what the United States is like today: [...] they are transactional. If that's what the transaction entailed, I would certainly recommend it to the President and to anyone to pay such a price - he pointed out.
