- We are all observing what is happening right now in Ukraine, these barbaric attacks by Russians on critical infrastructure, on Ukrainian cities, which are causing civilian casualties, of course, but have also led to a large part of Kyiv being cut off from energy supplies, from electricity supplies. I spoke with Mayor Klitschko on this matter. Help is needed - said Rafał Trzaskowski at a press conference in Warsaw.

- I know that in Poland this help is being organized in many places, including by local governments, also from the grassroots. We have also decided to help. First and foremost, generators are needed, this is information from Kyiv. And that is why we will be taking these generators to Kyiv today. Behind me, you can see five vehicles carrying 90 generators - he pointed out.

- Here, great thanks go to all municipal companies. We are, of course, at the Warsaw Waterworks, but also our companies related to trams and buses, which helped us purchase this equipment. Very different generators, including industrial ones, capable of providing energy for hospitals, as well as smaller ones. These are precisely the needs identified by Mayor Klitschko, and today this transport will reach Kyiv - he continued.
