"Member of Parliament Zbigniew Ziobro has obtained international protection and political asylum in Hungary in connection with violations of rights and freedoms within Polish territory, guaranteed by international law," reported attorney Bartosz Lewandowski.

"Political asylum was granted to him by the Hungarian government under the Act on the Right to Asylum of 2007, due to actions by the Prosecutor's Office and services subordinate to the government, which resulted in a series of actions bearing the hallmarks of politically motivated repression (e.g., passport revocations previously announced by government members, deprivation of livelihood due to asset seizures)," reads the post on the X portal.
