Will the President Send the Budget Bill to the Constitutional Tribunal? Domański: I am an Optimist

- Not signing the budget bill, sending it to the Constitutional Tribunal means that we are operating on a draft bill - said Andrzej Domański in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

- In practice, this means that there are no additional funds for services that we secured during the parliamentary proceedings, [...] additional funds for the ABW and the Intelligence Agency. There are no additional funds for science, which were also added during the parliamentary proceedings. [...] It is worth remembering that according to the Public Finance Act, salary increases in the public sector are paid out upon signing, effectively after the budget bill is signed, not in a situation where we are operating on a draft - he continued.

- However, I am probably a greater optimist than many analysts. I believe that this budget bill should not raise any constitutional doubts - he stated.

- The budgets of these institutions, which - as we assume - the President particularly cares about, have increased in relation to 2025 by roughly the same amount as expenditures are generally increasing, by the amount of inflation - he indicated.
