Czarzasty's Conference, Sejm on Term Limits and the Psychology Profession

Today marks the start of a two-day Sejm session, the first of the year. At 9:00 AM, Sejm Marshal Włodzimierz Czarzasty will hold a press conference. The lower house's proceedings are scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM with a half-hour block of procedural votes.

At 10:30 AM, MPs will proceed to the second reading of the PSL's draft bill on the abolition of term limits in local government. At 12:00 PM, the second reading of the government's draft law on the psychology profession and the professional self-government of psychologists will commence. Subsequently, at 1:30 PM, the second reading of the KO’s draft bill on granting Silesian dialect the status of a regional language will take place.

At 3:00 PM, the second reading of the government's amendment to the Commercial Companies Code is scheduled. At 4:15 PM, the second reading of the committee's draft amendment to the law on restricting business activity by public officials will begin. At 5:15 PM, the second reading of Polski 2050's draft bill concerning volunteer fire brigades will be held.

At 6:30 PM, the second reading of an urgent government deregulation bill is planned, aimed at facilitating data retrieval from land and mortgage registers and the National Court Register via the mObywatel application. At 7:45 PM, the first reading of a government bill will commence, implementing EU law and intended to simplify the exchange of information regarding criminal convictions of non-EU citizens and stateless persons.

The last substantive item on today's agenda is the second reading, scheduled for 9:15 PM, of a draft bill submitted by coalition MPs concerning the introduction of a legal framework for the continued operation of existing market-based systems for the return of reusable glass bottles.

Senate on Cryptocurrencies

Also today, a two-day Senate session will begin at 11:00 AM. The agenda includes, among other items, the government's cryptocurrency market act (submitted for the second time).

Confederation on Parental Alienation

At 11:30 AM in the Sejm, Confederation MPs will present a draft law on parental alienation. "We will propose regulations allowing for real punishment of those who block a parent's contact with their child," Krzysztof Bosak announced yesterday.

President with Former President

At 5:30 PM in the Belvedere, President Karol Nawrocki will meet with his predecessor Andrzej Duda regarding his book "To ja. Andrzej Duda" (It's Me. Andrzej Duda). The conversation will be hosted by Maciej Zdziarski.
