Nowacka:
Strengthening PIP – Yes. Automatically Transforming Contracts – Absolutely Not
"It's not a matter of which side [I'm on regarding the bill on PIP inspector powers], but rather the effect this law could bring," Barbara Nowacka stated in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.
- "And just as strengthening the National Labour Inspectorate is obviously necessary, and I believe these are needed actions, the original idea – which Minister Dziemianowicz-Bąk also changed in its final version – the initial idea, that an inspector would come and transform a contract, I understand that from the perspective of someone who is an entrepreneur, running a business, is simply unacceptable." she stated.
"These are excessive powers. There are also labour courts, whose powers could be strengthened. Common sense must be found in all of this. I think that a certain pragmatism and life experience also show that it is good for an entrepreneur to have an appellate instance. And on the other hand, it is also well known that employee rights must be protected," she continued.
"Strengthening the National Labour Inspectorate? Yes. Automatically transforming contracts out of hand – which, I will remind you, was no longer in the latest provisions – absolutely not," she emphasized.
