Nawrocki:
A Post-Communist with 20,000 Votes Addresses a Man with 10.5 Million Votes, Claiming He'll Use a Veto He Doesn't Possess
- Look at the situation where today the second most important person in the state, of course, in accordance with the rigor of Polish democracy, and I'll leave aside the fact that he's a post-communist, I don't want to discuss that, but he is a man who received 20,000 votes and lost to a man on his own list from the last place - said President Karol Nawrocki during a meeting with Andrzej Duda.
- A person with the support of 20,000 votes becomes the second person in the state, of course, within the framework of coalition arrangements, discussions, he represents a party that has marginal support, and everything is of course in accordance with democracy, I do not question that as the President of Poland, but ordinary Poles, like myself and many of us, perhaps have the support that this evokes a certain unpleasantness - he continued.
- That here comes a man, not only a post-communist, but with the support of 20,000 votes, and tells a man who has 10.5 million votes in direct elections that he will use a veto he doesn't have, in relation to his legislative initiative - he went on to say.
- This shows what this presidency is for, so that the nation simply has the right to vote and can assess this type of behavior from today's Marshal - he added.
