Nawrocki on the Government's Stance:
If Someone Doesn't Seek Agreement with the Highest Official of the Polish State, They Harm Themselves.
"To read instructions off a piece of paper? No, I always try to look presentable, of course, because I represent Poland, but when I hear such comments from the government, almost every day, I always refer them to the Polish Constitution - said Karol Nawrocki during a meeting with Andrzej Duda, responding to the moderator's question: "We have a government that treats you like an intruder, saying: we have the mandate to conduct foreign policy, just sign these ambassadorial papers, represent us with dignity, look good on international visits, and read our instructions off a piece of paper, are you ready for that?"
"The highest representative of Poland abroad is the President of the Republic of Poland; a Polish ambassador cannot be appointed without the decision, without the nomination of the President of the Republic of Poland; a judge cannot be appointed or nominated without the decision of the President of the Republic of Poland" - he continued.
"I have already gotten used [...] to being described in various ways, and besides, President Duda has similar experiences after 10 years. So, if someone comments in this manner and doesn't seek agreement with the highest official of the Polish state, I think they harm themselves and their own standing" - he went on to say.
