- From January 1, 2026, new rules will apply for the reimbursement of costs incurred by MPs for using private cars in connection with the performance of their mandate. The Marshal of the Sejm has signed an amendment to the regulation concerning the establishment and financing of MPs' offices. The changes strengthen control and transparency of reimbursements – particularly for journeys outside the electoral district and in the case of long-term car rentals – informed the Chancellery of the Sejm.

The most important changes:

1. Journeys outside the district – a register of journeys with their dates and routes will be created. The rules will be analogous to employee business trips

2. Journeys within the electoral district – no more than PLN 1,725 per month

3. Stricter rules for long-term vehicle rental reimbursements
