The Round Table Carried Out of the Presidential Palace:
Post-Communism Ended in Poland Today.
"At the round table, which you see being dismantled and carried out of the Presidential Palace, 36 years ago sat various people representing different interests. Some [...] wanted to transfer communist influences [...] into Poland, which was undergoing transformation [...]. Others sat with good intentions," said President Karol Nawrocki in a statement to the media.
"Regardless of how we assess the round table, because academic and scientific discussions, and subsequent publications, are still emerging, one thing is certain: the Presidential Palace is not a place where the round table should still stand. The place where the round table should be is a museum, the Museum of Polish History. We are talking about history, we are returning the round table to history; from 2027, visitors will be able to admire it as a historical exhibit," he continued.
"Post-communism ended in Poland today. Long live free Poland," he added.
