Czarzasty Establishes Center for Statutory Law Analysis

- I consider the term 'Marshal's veto' to be a fight against populism and the sowing of division among Poles by presenting laws, or potentially presenting laws, that have nothing to do with reality and realism. Very expensive ones that are known to be pointless to implement, and everyone knows it. But the question is - where does this knowledge come from that it's pointless? And here I will present another very important decision today - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press conference in the Sejm.

- The procedure for laws is as follows - when a bill enters the Sejm, before any decisions are made, including by the Marshal to refer it, assign it a number, or send it for Sejm debate or committee review, we currently have 2 opinions. The first is a preliminary legislative opinion, prepared by the Legislative Bureau, which states whether the law is compatible with Polish law and does not violate Polish law. The second is an opinion from the Bureau of Expertise and Regulatory Impact Assessment, concerning the compliance of the bill with EU law - he continued.

- As of today, I have established a new unit within the Bureau of Expertise and Regulatory Impact Assessment. This unit is called the Center for Statutory Law Analysis. There will be a third opinion. This opinion will concern the financial implications of introducing this law, along with the indication of its funding sources, an assessment of economic effects and the law's impact on the economy, as well as an assessment of social effects and the law's impact on social relations - added the Marshal of the Sejm.
