Nearly 44 Billion Euros for Drones and the "East Shield" Project. Tusk on the EU's SAFE Programme

- Nearly 44 billion euros will be allocated for the purchase of drone equipment and for the "East Shield" project. This was the result of our diplomatic efforts over many weeks and months, and we have finally achieved unequivocal acceptance from all of Europe that the "East Shield," like our eastern border, is a common responsibility of the entire EU. Europe has finally started to treat it as a place where we invest European money, not just our Polish funds – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during a government session.

- The digital component will be significant in these projects, and thanks to our efforts, we will also be able to finance roads and railways directly related to the security of the Polish state through the SAFE programme – he continued.
