- I am with the miners today – there in Katowice, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for them. I support them because I believe that it is they who can still stop this madness that is destroying the European economy at this moment – stated Beata Szydło on TV Republika.

- But they are also capable, I hope they are capable of exerting such pressure on the Polish government that it will finally start doing something beyond various kinds of declarations, PR entries, or announcements that the current Polish Prime Minister announces as successes. I hope that the Polish government will truly stand on the side of the economy and on the side of Polish mining – the former Prime Minister continued.
