- I am not the prosecutor in this case, and I leave the actions to the prosecutor's office. Evidence is being gathered in this matter, but there is also the question of the legal qualification of the act. Can these types of statements, these types of formulations, be attributed as incitement to hatred, because it must always be directed against a specific group or against a specific person - said Waldemar Żurek on TVN24, when asked what was happening in the case of Robert Bąkiewicz.
- I am not a criminal judge, so I leave that to the prosecutor. There is a widespread belief that it was indeed directed at a specific group, because first there was talk of politicians from Tusk's circle, and later there was talk of judges and prosecutors - he continued.
- Inciting anarchy is not yet a crime in Poland [...] but to hatred... the metaphor of 'pulling out weeds' is unambiguous, as it implies dehumanization, and then liquidation. Liquidation, pouring napalm, we know how napalm works, so I say, let's wait a bit longer [...] I am waiting for the decision of the prosecutors, who have issued a statement, the case has been initiated, it is ongoing [...] there are specific procedures, and I do not want to interfere with them, because the prosecutor must have autonomy when making a decision in a specific case - he continued, when asked about Bąkiewicz inciting anarchy.
