Sejm to Discuss Road Traffic Law Amendment and DSA Implementation

The Sejm will resume its session at 9:00 AM with a series of current affairs questions. At 11:15 AM, at the request of Konfederacja, it will hear a briefing on current matters, including the use of funds from the Medical Fund, with a specific focus on financing rare diseases.

At 12:15 PM, the second reading of the government's draft amendment to the road traffic law is scheduled. According to the amendment, drivers operating a vehicle despite having their license suspended will face the revocation of their driving privileges. Children under 16 will be required to wear helmets when riding bicycles or electric scooters, and it will be possible to obtain a Category B driver's license at the age of 17 (with restrictions).

At 1:45 PM, the second reading of the government's deregulation bill is planned, which will allow heirs to electronically submit applications for entry into the land and mortgage register through notaries. At 2:30 PM, the first reading of a government bill to simplify tax regulations concerning accelerated depreciation is scheduled. The proponents state this will "positively impact greater investment opportunities in municipalities with high unemployment.".

At 3:45 PM, the second reading of the government's bill to ratify the Investment Protection Agreement between the European Union and its member states, on the one hand, and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, on the other hand, signed in Hanoi on June 30, 2019, will commence. Subsequently, at 4:15 PM, the first reading of a government bill aimed at accelerating proceedings in "francophone" mortgage cases and reducing the burden on courts, while maintaining full compliance with CJEU jurisprudence, will take place.

Between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM, a recess in the proceedings is planned. Following the recess, the first reading of the government's draft amendment to the Act on the Provision of Services by Electronic Means will begin. In practice, this concerns adapting Polish law to the EU's Digital Services Act (DSA). This item is expected to conclude by 8:30 PM.

Poland 2050 Club to Grow

At 9:00 AM in the Sejm, a press conference by Poland 2050 is scheduled, during which a decision to welcome a new parliamentarian to the club will be announced. However, indications suggest this may be a return to the party's ranks.

Poland 2050 and The Left on Personal Assistance

At 9:15 AM, a joint press conference by Poland 2050 and The Left will be held concerning the personal assistance bill. Speakers will include Anna-Maria Żukowska, Magdalena Biejat, and Bożenna Hołownia.

Other MPs' Conferences

At 11:30 AM, a conference will be held by MPs from Razem: Marcelina Zawisza and Marta Stożek.

At 12:30 PM, a conference is planned with the participation of PiS MPs: Piotr Gliński, Arkadiusz Mularczyk, and Kazimierz Smoliński.

At 1:00 PM, a conference is scheduled to begin with the Deputy Marshal of the Sejm from Civic Coalition (KO), Monika Wielichowska.

Nawrocki to Appoint Youth Council

At 11:00 AM in Łódź, President Karol Nawrocki will participate in the National Future Congress themed "History Speaks Through Generations," during which he will appoint the presidential Youth Council. The President's speech is anticipated.

Sikorski's Senate Address

The Senate will resume its session at 10:00 AM. At that time, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski will present information on Polish diaspora policy. Following his address, around 10:30 AM, a joint press conference by the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Marshal of the Senate Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska will take place.

At 11:30 AM, a press conference by PiS senators is scheduled.

Kosiniak-Kamysz at a Commemoration Appeal

At 11:00 AM, in the outer courtyard of the Royal Castle in Wawel, Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz will participate in a solemn Commemoration Appeal dedicated to General Tadeusz Jordan-Rozwadowski and other commanders of the Battle of Warsaw in 1920. A speech by the Minister of National Defence is planned.

Krajewski Meets with Farmer Representatives

At 3:30 PM, a press briefing by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Stefan Krajewski will be held following a meeting with representatives of farmer organizations.
