Mateusz Morawiecki recalled his statement from 2 years ago on the X platform. In his post, he argues that he opposed the pact, while Donald Tusk agreed to it.

- It's worth recalling at the end what Civic Platform often said in this context. "Let them in" - referring to illegal migrants - "then we'll figure out who they are, or just a few weeks ago and a few days ago, two different Civic Platform MPs who said, 'well yes, we'll have to accept a few thousand immigrants, we'll have to submit to European actions'. That's who they are. Here in Brussels, Tusk's party has already submitted to Weber, submitted to Brussels bureaucrats, and agreed to illegal immigration. We vetoed it - says Mateusz Morawiecki in the attached recording.
