At the next session of the Sejm – scheduled for October 15-17 – MPs will consider the draft bill on partnership unions, along with its implementing provisions, put forward by Lewica (The Left). The proposal, submitted in June this year, will be presented by Katarzyna Kotula.

It is difficult to assume that the Sejm will pass this bill immediately – especially since Minister Berek announced just 2 days ago that a new bill would be government-sponsored. But what is crucial is something else – the opposition will certainly move to reject it at the first reading, which means that shortly after the second anniversary of the elections, the coalition will face another voting test.
