"Citizenship of the Republic of Poland is an honor. We plan changes regarding its granting. So that only those who guarantee security and work for Poland with their attitude receive it. In this regard, it is obvious that we will cooperate with the President." – wrote Marcin Kierwiński on X.

Earlier, on Saturday, Paweł Szefernaker posted a message on the same topic.

"It is the President of the Republic who stands guard over who can receive Polish citizenship and become part of our national community. This week, a presidential bill regarding the extension of uninterrupted legal stay in Poland from 3 to 10 years, after which one can apply for Polish citizenship, was submitted to the Sejm." – wrote the head of the presidential cabinet on X.

"We will do everything to prevent the government from following the path set out this week by Minister Kierwiński – the announcement of diluting the rules for acquiring Polish citizenship." – he emphasized.
