- I wanted to inform you that a decision has been made, jointly with the head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration, who will issue the relevant regulation for the reopening of railway and road border crossings today, shortly. These are the ones that were closed in connection with the ZAPAD maneuvers and, understandably, due to the increased threat and political and actual instability at our borders, in our region. As you know, the ZAPAD exercises have concluded. Simultaneously, large-scale allied exercises were taking place in Poland, where we were present, along with the Minister of National Defence - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during the government meeting.

- We have concluded that this preventive measure has served its purpose, and of course, this tool remains in our hands. And if the need arises, if tensions increase or if aggressive behavior is exhibited by one of our neighbors, we will not hesitate to make the decision to close the border crossings again. However, at this moment, it appears that the direct reasons for the closure have ceased - the head of government continued.

- This means that within 24 hours, tomorrow at 0:00, in a day and a half, i.e., from Wednesday to Thursday midnight, the border crossings will be opened - Tusk emphasized.
