PiS-Konfederacja Tensions? Czarnek: Coalition Openness Remains. Even with Mentzen — If He Apologizes and Comes to His Senses

- I am still a proponent of seeking coalition partners if they are needed. If we were to take power today, because Donald Tusk's government had fallen, then we would need to come to an agreement within this parliamentary majority. I don't expect it would be possible to reach an agreement with anyone other than Konfederacja, and for instance, PSL, or a portion of Polska 2050, or even individual MPs [...] from other political groups - said Przemysław Czarnek on Radio Plus, when asked about tensions between PiS and Konfederacja.

- It is absolutely clear, the openness to a coalition remains - he continued.

- There are 190 MPs in Law and Justice, and we genuinely hold diverse views. My views differ significantly from many other colleagues within Law and Justice - he continued, responding to the host's assertion that he probably hadn't heard the PiS chairman speak recently.

- Chairman Jarosław Kaczyński speaks about what he hears after we announced the Polish Declaration [...]. "Political gangster" is hardly the point. However, Mentzen said much worse things; Mentzen accused Chairman Jarosław Kaczyński of being responsible for the suicidal death of Andrzej Lepper, the illness of Prime Minister Gowin [...] and the very serious illness of Zbigniew Ziobro, and these are indeed offensive remarks. [...] Mentzen is not the entire Konfederacja - he added, when pressed on whether Jarosław Kaczyński was wrong to say he couldn't imagine a coalition with Konfederacja.

- A coalition with Mentzen is also possible, if Mentzen apologizes and truly comes to his senses - he stated, when asked: "a coalition with Konfederacja, yes, a coalition with Mentzen, no?".
