Wednesday's Political Agenda: Government on the ORKA Program, Senate on Heating Vouchers and NIK President Appointment, Tusk, Nawrocki, and Kosiniak-Kamysz on the Anniversary of the USSR's Aggression Against Poland

At 8:45 AM, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz will lay a wreath before the Monument to the Fallen and Murdered in the East in Warsaw, marking the 86th anniversary of the USSR's aggression against Poland. A speech by the Minister of National Defence is planned.

At 9:00 AM, a press conference by the 'Razem' (Together) party will begin in the Sejm, featuring Maciej Konieczny, Marcelina Zawisza, and representatives of non-governmental organizations.

At 9:30 AM, Deputy Minister Anita Sowińska will hold a press conference at the Ministry of Climate and Environment ahead of the launch of the deposit system.

At 10:00 AM, a press conference by Minister of Culture Marta Cienkowska is scheduled at the Intergenerational Activity Centre in Warsaw, announcing the 12th edition of the "Senior's Weekend with Culture" initiative.

At 12:00 PM, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz will participate in a tactical exercise with troops at the Training Ground in Orzysz. At 1:50 PM, statements for the media by the Minister of National Defence and the Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Army are planned.

Tusk in Wytyczno

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Donald Tusk will visit Wytyczno in connection with the anniversary of the USSR's aggression against Poland. At 9:00 AM, the Prime Minister will lay a wreath at the cemetery of soldiers of the Border Protection Corps Group. The Prime Minister's address is scheduled for 9:10 AM.

Nawrocki at Ceremonies

At 10:45 AM, President Karol Nawrocki will lay a wreath before the Monument to the Fallen and Murdered in the East. A mass for all victims of the Katyń crime is scheduled for 11:00 AM. A speech by the Head of State is anticipated.

At 12:15 PM, a funeral ceremony for the remains of the victims of the Katyń crime will take place.

Government Session

At 1:00 PM, a government session will commence. Ministers will address draft laws concerning the amendment of the act on promoting the generation of electricity in offshore wind farms, the establishment of the Lower Oder Valley National Park, and amendments to the act on value-added tax.

The agenda also includes a report from the Minister of National Defence on the progress of acquiring new type submarines codenamed "ORKA".

Senate on Heating Vouchers and NIK President Appointment

A one-day session of the Senate will be held on Wednesday. Members of the upper house of parliament will discuss, among other things, a draft amending certain acts to verify the entitlement to family benefits for foreigners and concerning the conditions for assisting Ukrainian citizens in connection with the armed conflict on their territory. In practice, this concerns, among other things, linking the payment of the 800+ benefit for foreigners to their employment activity.

The agenda also includes a draft law on heating vouchers and amendments to certain acts to limit electricity prices, as well as an amendment to the act concerning crude oil reserves. Additionally, the Senate is expected to consent to the appointment of the President of the Supreme Audit Office (NIK).

The session is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM. Earlier, at 9:50 AM, a briefing by the Marshal of the Senate, Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, will take place.
