Kierwiński responds to Błaszczak's morning remarks:

A more damning self-indictment is hard to imagine.

- The eight years of our predecessors was a system of dismantling civil protection and civil defense. There were no solutions in this area. We have implemented a law that comprehensively regulates these issues. What does this mean? It means that we are now, in an accelerated manner, upgrading and adapting this civil protection system – one that should have been built over many years – to the challenges of today's world. Hence the record investments; this year alone, we intend to spend nearly 5 billion [złoty] on direct infrastructure support - said Marcin Kierwiński at a press conference.

- Today, on one of the television stations, Polsat, I listened to Mr. Błaszczak [...], who for eight years served as Minister of Interior and Administration, and then Minister of National Defense, and Deputy Prime Minister for Security Affairs. And today he says: 'I don't know how the warning system works.' I must say, I don't know if there can be a more damning indictment of oneself - he assessed, referring to Mariusz Błaszczak's statement from 'Graffiti.'

- And then he says: 'We have many years of neglect.' Well yes, we do, if for eight years civil protection was being dismantled and provisions regarding civil protection were being deleted from laws, then yes - we have neglect, and we are catching up on that neglect from day one [...] - he pointed out.
