“Last time, I signed 21 bills and vetoed one. Today, I am also informing you that five more bills proposed by the parliamentary majority have been signed. Three bills have been vetoed,” said President Karol Nawrocki during a statement to the media.
“The bills I decided not to sign include, first and foremost, the National Tax Code Act. This act contains one very good deregulatory solution that should certainly be introduced, but I do not agree to reduce penalties for fiscal offenses given the dramatic situation of Polish public finances,” he continued.
“Those solutions that are good for Poland will be met with my openness, with the openness of my Chancellery […] and I take full responsibility for them,” he noted. He added that among the signed bills were two concerning the Teachers' Charter, one on banking law, and one on improving the storage of natural fertilizers.
