Kaczyński:

'Both Mentzen and Bosak Say They're Ready to Govern with Civic Platform. How Can Anyone Want to Co-Govern with PO?'

Michał Lubowicki

– There is an issue that greatly troubles my mind, and which, after long consideration, I decided to address, because there's already too much of it from our potential partners. I am still not rejecting this partnership by saying, 'it's impossible, there's nothing to talk about,' but there have already been too many various attacks – said Jarosław Kaczyński in Gdańsk.

“Damn the attacks, even the offensive and simultaneously idiotic ones”
– But I'll say it in plain language: damn the attacks, even the offensive and simultaneously idiotic ones. For example, the one that claims I, among others, infected our colleague Ziobro with his serious illness – he stated.

– This is, of course, already the realm of complete absurdity, but one can deal with absurdity. However, there is something that unfortunately looks incomparably more serious – these are the declarations made by the leaders of Konfederacja, stating that they are ready to form a government with Civic Platform. Such declarations exist; they can be quoted. Both Mentzen says it, and Bosak says it – he continued.

“How can one want to co-govern with Civic Platform?”
– […] If someone is aware of these dangers – and it seems these people are aware of them, often criticizing various elements of what I briefly spoke about here – then how can they want to cooperate, to co-govern with Civic Platform? – he asked.

– After all, Civic Platform, probably along with its 'side dishes' [smaller allied parties], will still be stronger than Konfederacja. It will dictate the terms. Moreover, it has external support and the support of the vast majority of the media. There is not the slightest doubt here who will have the upper hand. Consequently, what could this lead to? That they will have to, to one degree or another [...], become part of this plan of 'wars against Poland,' which, if implemented, would ultimately lead to our complete subjugation – he assessed.
