"Presidential Initiatives Unnecessary": Kosiniak-Kamysz Vows to Reintroduce Energy Security Bill

"The President did not sign the energy price freeze. [...] Let's be frank, unfortunately, he made a decision that means Poles do not have the certainty of lower energy prices today. The government wanted this, the parliamentary majority wanted this [...] public opinion wanted this; it wanted the President's signature on this bill," said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference.

"We will reintroduce the energy security bill, so no presidential initiatives are needed here; what's needed is his acceptance of government initiatives," he continued.

"Nothing prevents us from repeating these provisions of the bill that were vetoed, but it will be a government initiative. [...] The government's energy security bill can be passed again; we will keep trying until we succeed, we will fight for lower electricity prices despite the President's decision," he went on to say.
