"Minister Przydacz Refused My Outreach": Bosacki Details MFA’s Difficulties with Presidential Palace

– I don't know why, but the minister is not telling the truth, and what's more, he knows it. Firstly, two high-ranking officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have been in telephone contact [with Minister Przydacz], and this contact has been ongoing since last Wednesday, when, as we know, the first teleconferences before the summit in Alaska took place, involving both transatlantic and intra-European groups. And I want to state this very clearly, and anyone who says otherwise is lying – from the very beginning, it was at the initiative of the MFA, and mine as well, that attempts were made to reach Minister Przydacz. Minister Przydacz did not respond to my attempts at contact – stated Marcin Bosacki in 'Poranna Rozmowa RMF FM' (RMF FM's Morning Talk), when asked about communication between the MFA and the Presidential Palace.

– I called and sent text messages. And not just since last Wednesday. We tried – I, along with Director-General Rafał Wiśniewski, are obliged by Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Sikorski to establish contact with the Chancellery of the President. Of course, after the swearing-in, it was clear that the person we should be speaking with is Minister Przydacz, newly appointed to this position in the Chancellery of the President by President Nawrocki. He did not initiate this contact even once. However, he did engage in other contact with high-ranking MFA officials, and from last Wednesday throughout the weekend, this contact was maintained via telephone – he continued.

– After each teleconference – and there have been nine so far – involving either Prime Minister Tusk or Prime Minister Sikorski, the MFA immediately dispatches notes, meaning on the same day, or at the latest, by the next morning. These notes, of course, are not public, outlining the proceedings of these consultations. As we know, there were two teleconferences involving President Nawrocki, last Wednesday and on Saturday morning. To date – and over a week has passed since the first one – we have not received this kind of normal official correspondence between state bodies from the Chancellery of the President – Bosacki concluded.
