Śliwka:
'One Could Say President Zelensky Brought Sponsors Along'
– I remain quite calm about this, because I am fully aware that what we are seeing is an initial phase of these peace talks, and it's very good that they have started. It's also worth mentioning, as such statements are too infrequently heard in the media. Yesterday's meeting took place in a certain format, with representatives of the coalition of the willing – stated Andrzej Śliwka in a conversation with Marcin Fijołek on Polsat News' "Graffiti".
– It's important to talk about what this coalition of the willing is. It was founded on the initiative of the Prime Minister of Great Britain, and in its original plan, it comprised those states that expressed their will and desire for their troops to potentially participate in Ukraine. Later – and it's also worth mentioning this – there was also talk about financial support, meaning one could say that President Zelensky took sponsors with him [to the White House] – continued the PiS politician.
– I think that Poland, in terms of its support for Ukraine, has helped Ukraine enormously, and even in that initial, early stage, if it weren't for Poland's support, we would be in a completely different situation – he emphasized.
