"I've obtained documents." Błaszczak: If nothing changes, the Ministry of National Defence faces bankruptcy in 3-4 years

- I would like to present another matter to the public, somewhat related to finances, this time finances allocated for defense. If nothing changes, the Ministry of National Defence (MON) faces bankruptcy within 3-4 years. This is because I have obtained documents, correspondence between the Ministry of Finance and the MON, which clearly indicates that all the money allocated for debt repayment – and debts are indeed being incurred, loans and credit are being taken out to modernize the Polish Army – will be repaid solely from budget sub-section 29, meaning from the MON's budget - stated Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference.

- If the process of expanding the Polish Army continues, then within 3-4 years the debt, and therefore the amounts required to repay the debt, will exceed the amount allocated for defense. I would like to remind you that the defense budget not only finances everything related to acquiring modern equipment but also covers maintenance, and funds are also allocated for the construction of new Polish Army units and the recruitment of new soldiers - he said.

As the head of the PiS parliamentary club noted: - If nothing changes, this process will lead to the bankruptcy of the MON.
