- The CPK, in its traditional form, also gave all of us hope that a flywheel for our economy, our economic engine, was appearing on the horizon. Yes, 35 years after the fall of the communist system, despite the great success of Polish entrepreneurs and workers, we are today in an economic trap that we must overcome precisely through major investments, our aspirations, our dreams - stated President Karol Nawrocki in Kalisz.

- To compete with other Western European economies in order to realize great projects. Our hopes and dreams are encapsulated in the CPK, which was meant to build the Polish budget, our economic and industrial strength, and Poland as a trade and transport hub in Europe. Most importantly, this shared success of our future and the benefits derived from it were to be distributed according to sustainable development, because there is one Poland: there is the Poland of great agglomerations, the Poland of Warsaw and Gdańsk, but there is also the Poland of Kalisz and other medium-sized cities, small towns, and the Poland of the counties - he continued.

- In this project, I unambiguously demand a return to sustainable development and that the CPK not be a wheel without spokes, but a wheel with all its spokes, and that the city of Kalisz not be run over by the high-speed railway - he emphasized.
