Tusk:
We're Setting Off for Victory Again. Let's Do Everything to Be More Numerous in Two Years
- I am addressing all Poles for whom today is a sad and disappointing day. I know very well what you feel, I understand you. We all believed that honesty, good, and love would triumph, and what has happened puts this faith of ours to a serious test - said Prime Minister Donald Tusk in a recording published on X.
- You were counting on 10 years of embarrassment, sadness, and concerns for the homeland to end definitively today. Meanwhile, new concerns are added to the old ones. But what does this mean for us, people who desire an honest, free, and beautiful Poland, free from violence, hatred, and contempt? Only one thing: we must be even stronger. We must be persistent. We must be together - he continued.
- I implore you, do not lose your faith in good, in honesty, in freedom. This faith makes Poles a great nation. Without this faith of yours, there is no Poland. You are the salt of the earth, on you rests the future - he went on to say.
- You know, in life, as in sport, defeats happen, but after a defeat, you have to get up and move on, because there is only one way to overcome defeat: faith in victory and victory itself, and we are setting off for that victory again, today, tomorrow, and every day. Remember when we started, almost no one gave us a chance, and at our first march, there were half a million of us, at the second, a million, on October 15th, over 11 million. So let's do everything to be even more numerous in two years and let today only mobilize us for that. Because after all, our white-and-red hearts are invincible - he added.
