- President-elect Karol Nawrocki held a telephone conversation today with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The call was made at the request of the Ukrainian President. President Zelensky congratulated Karol Nawrocki on his victory in the presidential elections - informed Rafał Leśkiewicz, spokesperson for the President-elect, on the X platform. As indicated: - Karol Nawrocki emphasized that cooperation between the two countries must be based on mutual respect and true partnership. - The President-elect confirmed continued support for Ukraine in connection with the ongoing war, which is a result of the aggression of the Russian Federation. Russia is a neo-imperial and colonial state, ruled by a war criminal such as Vladimir Putin. Therefore, Ukraine, fighting against the Kremlin regime, can count on Poland's support - it reads. - Historical policy was an important topic of the conversation. Karol Nawrocki stressed that he is the voice of the Nation, which demands a change in Ukraine's approach to important and hitherto unresolved historical issues. This should change. The President-elect announced that historical issues will be the subject of further talks with the President of Ukraine - writes the spokesperson.
