I wasn't sure if everyone had made it here, because there are clearly fewer of us. So, one of the postulates that guided us during this reconstruction, not just this time but also in the future, was to limit the number of positions and officials to the essential size – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during a government meeting. We still have a considerable perspective ahead of us when it comes to government downsizing efforts, but even now I can say that I am satisfied with this first stage. Naturally, we still have the review of your subordinate ministries ahead of us, and there too we will be looking, not forcefully of course, but together for the rationalization of our actions and structures, so that they are as efficient as possible, but at the same time as cost-effective as possible, where those costs are unnecessary – he continued.
