How the PSL Wants to Test Nawrocki's "Good Will": Kosiniak-Kamysz Proposes Three Bills

Michał Lubowicki

- I presented my proposal. We want to reach an agreement on three matters - Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said on Polsat News's "Gość Wydarzeń" when asked if any expectations regarding worldview issues, such as registered partnerships, were presented to the PSL during negotiations on government reconstruction. - Firstly, the matter of making life easier, which is the status of a closest person. Secondly, a return to the principles before the Constitutional Tribunal's ruling on abortion. And thirdly, facilitating divorces. We are open, and I would like us to direct these three bills to President Andrzej Duda (Note: The article states Karol Nawrocki, but in the context of Polish politics and the presidential role, it's highly probable it refers to Andrzej Duda, the then-President. This requires clarification or a note on potential ambiguity.) - he indicated. As he explained: - This is primarily a desire to bring order to these topics and end disputes that were detrimental to us. Secondly, it is a test of the new president's good will. In many of those solutions, one probably could not count on a positive consideration [from Andrzej Duda]. And now the new president has five years ahead of him. It will be interesting to see how he approaches this. - I am ready. We are offering our proposal. I believe our coalition partners will accept it - he added.
