- You know perfectly well what the real steps and real consequences of Minister Nowacka's actions are. Namely, a whole series of elements of Polish history related to fostering patriotism, caring for historical truth, and the memory of Polish heroes have been erased, wiped out - said Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference. - How can anyone comment, not just Bishop [Wiesław Mering], but anyone, any passerby here on Foksal could say exactly the same thing. We must, as in communist times, perhaps teach children at home again about historical truth. [...] This is an absolute scandal, distorting history, lying to Poles. We cannot allow this - he continued. - Therefore, it is difficult not to agree that today we must conduct supplementary pedagogical and educational classes for children and youth at home, in connection with the cutback history curriculum, the distortion of this curriculum, simply the falsification of history - he stated.
