Political Smear Campaigns Funded by Public Money: Pełczyńska-Nałęcz Criticizes TVP and Appeals to Coalition Partners for Its Depoliticization

On July 1st, during the TVP Info program "Political Triangle," Renata Grochal asked Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz how she intended to reform state-owned companies, given reports from Poland 2050 suggesting she had hired her daughter within the party. The Minister of Funds and Regional Policy responded by stating that one should not confuse a political party with State Treasury companies, nor involve her daughter in such matters.

Following the interview, Pełczyńska-Nałęcz published screenshots on X of posts supporting her and criticizing TVP.

"This is truly a tremendous 'success' for TVP. With a baseless and ruthless attack on my family, they have achieved something nearly impossible – uniting people from the right to the left," wrote the Minister of Funds and Regional Policy.

"I no longer expect any reflection from TVP, but I do from our coalition partners. Let's finally make a real change, not just a replacement. Let's depoliticize TVP and State Treasury companies. This will end the era of 'fat cats' and political smear campaigns funded by public money," she continued in her post.
