Temporary Ban on Entry for Citizens of Designated Non-EU Countries into Polish Territory. PiS Announces Bill Submission

- A bill on the temporary ban on entry for citizens of third countries into the territory of the Republic of Poland. We will submit such a bill to the Sejm today - said Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference. - This bill provides [...] authorization for the Council of Ministers to issue a regulation, which will specify particular countries outside the European Union [...] outside of Europe, those countries whose citizens are committing illegal border crossings of the European Union, illegal border crossings of the Polish border - he continued. - Today, Polish border guards do not have a legal basis for an appropriate, firm reaction. After the introduction of this law and after the issuance of the regulation by the Council of Ministers, Polish border guards will be able to deny entry to citizens of these countries onto our territory - he went on to say. - Therefore, those who are today being transferred from Germany by German services or who are attempting to cross from Germany to the Polish side, will not be able to do so. Of course, they will be able to appeal, they will be able to submit appropriate applications, but from the territory of Germany, not from the territory of Poland - he added.
