Duda on Increasing NATO Defense Spending:
Everything Indicates We Will Have Unity.
- I am pleased that everything indicates unity among the Alliance's countries this time as well, primarily on the most important and frequently discussed issue recently, which is increasing defense spending. I also hope that we will make a decision together on this matter, as well as on other issues that are very important to us regarding the building of security for NATO's eastern flank - said President Andrzej Duda during a briefing in The Hague, before the meeting of the North Atlantic Council.
- Today, the issue of defense spending is paramount. That's the first point. I hope we will have unity - everything indicates that this is the case - he stated.
- However, the second issue, which is very important to us in Poland, is the extension of NATO's strategic pipelines carrying fuel, which currently end in Western Europe - extending them to the eastern flank - he continued.
