– Mr. President, please withdraw the veto. This will mean that tomorrow we will have Supreme Court judges whose decisions everyone will accept without issue – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.

The head of government referred to the so-called incidental law, according to which the validity of this year's presidential elections was to be adjudicated by the 15 longest-serving Supreme Court judges. The law was vetoed by President Duda.

– I do not accept any accusation directed at Civic Coalition or my government that we are the cause of this constitutional and legal mess. We are trying, to the extent of our real strength today, to repair this state of affairs, sometimes patching it up, sometimes correcting it. It is indeed very difficult, but we all know who is responsible for this legal mess – he continued.
