– Mr. Roman Giertych today made an unsuccessful attempt to gain access to the specially controlled access area within the Supreme Court, demanding to inspect the files of a case initiated by an electoral protest he filed. These files were made available to him as a participant in the proceedings. However, not being satisfied with their content, the MP demanded access to the files of a case in which he is not a participant – wrote the First President of the Supreme Court, Małgorzata Manowska, in a statement.

– The confrontational and quite brusque style of communication employed by Roman Giertych, which he demonstrated during his presence at the Supreme Court, in my opinion, casts a shadow on the reputation of the legal profession. The irresponsible inspiring of mass electoral protests by Roman Giertych, which resulted in tens of thousands of identically worded electoral protests being filed with the Supreme Court, has seriously disorganized the work of the other chambers of the Supreme Court. Contrary to political calculations, however, this will not delay the adjudication of electoral protests, although it is particularly burdensome for the administrative staff of the Supreme Court – it further reads.

– This irresponsible behavior of MP Roman Giertych is contrasted by the attitude of the Supreme Court staff, who, confronted with the consequences of political squabbling, voluntarily declared their readiness to work on the holiday and throughout the “long weekend.” As an employer, I am inspired by the attitude of the administrative staff of the Supreme Court and at the same time embarrassed by the thoughtlessness of the MP, which has caused them to spend this time working hard instead of with their families – stated Manowska.
