Bartoszewski:

As the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, We Cannot Be Held Responsible for the Reckless Actions of Our Beloved Compatriots

- If we have been asking for many weeks not to travel to these areas, then if someone goes there, they do so at their own risk. We, as the government, as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, cannot be held responsible for the reckless actions of our beloved compatriots - said Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski in "Graffiti" on Polsat News. - We expected possible problems in the Middle East region and told our compatriots: do not travel to these countries. This is not a flood that occurs suddenly and unexpectedly, but rather something that was predictable and has been spoken about for months - he continued. - Everyone has free will. We do not have a totalitarian state that says: "no Pole shall travel anywhere", [...] rather everyone travels as they wish. However, one must assess the risk. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs publishes suggestions on its website about where to travel and where not to travel - he pointed out.
