- They thought that by taking away the money, we wouldn't be able to run a campaign. That was the thinking of those in power, and they illegally took our funds. Meanwhile, Poles, and it's worth thanking them once again and worth stating this, PLN 23,300,000 - this is the amount that came in from public collections for Karol Nawrocki's campaign. This is a Polish record in the history of election campaigns - said Paweł Szefernaker on Radio Wnet. - In the mainstream media, they always asked: 'ha ha ha, this is a candidate supported by PiS, what kind of civic candidate is this?'. And citizens themselves contributed 23 million PLN, and PiS added over a million złotys to this campaign. Therefore, 95% of the funds collected for the campaign came from citizen contributions. Additionally, the funds transferred by PiS to the campaign also came from collections, because today we do not have subsidies - he pointed out.
