- After which Mrs. von der Leyen received a draft amendment to the Supreme Court act from me, because we are constantly discussing the Supreme Court, not the judiciary, because the common courts were practically untouched during the 8 years of the Law and Justice (ZP) government. There was a reform, but Minister Ziobro never really presented this reform for acceptance at the government level, and it never entered parliament, which I regret, but that’s a completely different matter - stated President Andrzej Duda on Radio Wnet.

- Regarding changes to the Supreme Court, I proposed these changes, I was invited by the President of the European Commission to Brussels immediately after I returned from the opening of the Olympic Games in Beijing. I had such a marathon that I practically only changed my clothes at the airport, got on a plane, and flew directly from Beijing to Brussels, and I spoke with her there because, a few days earlier, I had submitted a draft amendment to the Supreme Court as a presidential project. I presented this project, and this project contained changes that were not as far-reaching as some in the EC expected, but they were introduced partly within the limits that I considered institutionally possible - he continued.

- She agreed to these solutions in principle, and then they were analyzed. I presented these changes to her, I explained everything, it took quite a long time, I spoke with her for several hours, then these changes were analyzed, and there was an agreement from the EC, which was later changed, and as a result, funds from the KPO were not disbursed. And now I will tell you the best part – for them to be disbursed and for everything to be fine, all it took was for the government in Poland to change, all it took was for Donald Tusk to create a coalition that took power in Poland, removed the ZP from power in this way, and suddenly it turned out that everything was fine - PAD emphasized.

- It was enough for the liberal-left clique to get their man from their camp, who is the prime minister here and who is therefore a guarantor of their interests in the Republic of Poland, and that is already sufficient proof to stop any intervention - he said.
