– A drowning man clutches at straws, and here is the straw that the main politicians of Civic Platform and Mr. Trzaskowski's campaign have grasped. As you recall, in 2007, Jerzy Żywicki became a resident of a municipal social welfare center in Gdańsk and has been under the care of the municipal center in Gdańsk since 2007. Not Karol Nawrocki. Karol Nawrocki met Mr. Jerzy and met with him regularly, helping him in his very difficult situation, his loneliness, but also in his illness and all the weaknesses that Mr. Jerzy had – stated Przemysław Czarnek at a press conference.

– He met with him from 2008, regularly helped him in his life. This was met with a reaction from Mr. Jerzy, Mr. Jerzy's will written by him in Gdańsk on October 20, 2011: I, the undersigned, transfer my property by will to Karol Nawrocki. I note that I am disinheriting my wife and children. I am doing so due to lack of contact with the aforementioned for 37 years – he continued.

– Subsequently, Mr. Jerzy Żywicki acquired a studio apartment, a 28-square-meter flat, from the City of Gdańsk with a discount of up to 10%. He acquired this studio apartment with funds that Karol Nawrocki lent him, transferred for this purpose. In 2012, everyone appeared before a notary in Gdańsk, on January 24, 2022, and signed a notarial deed – said the PiS politician.

– In no official document is there any mention of any donation. In no official document is there any obligation to provide care, nor is there any mention that the apartment was acquired due to taking over the care of Mr. Jerzy Żywicki. The question we are posing today to all journalists and politicians is: why did you lie, why did you slander Karol Nawrocki? To this day, the apartment is in the possession of Jerzy Żywicki, he has the keys, Karol Nawrocki bears the costs of the apartment, treating it as an apartment at Jerzy Żywicki's disposal as long as he lives – emphasized Professor Czarnek.

– Why did you lie that any illegal takeover of the apartment occurred, or any takeover with an immoral subtext? These are heinous acts in which mainstream media, and in our opinion, special services, are also involved. Shame, and it is this shame that we are now revealing – he added.
