– This is proof that Warsaw, as the capital of Poland, a city for all Polish women and men, not just those from Warsaw, is a modern city that is developing dynamically, comfortable to live in, truly European, and in fact, applause to all of us, because it is we who are transforming this city every day – stated Rafał Trzaskowski at a press conference regarding the 30th anniversary of the Warsaw Metro.

– If it weren’t for our EU membership, not only the metro project, but the vast majority of projects we have implemented over the past years would not have been possible, and it must also be clearly stated that no city in Europe builds a metro solely with its own money, but either with European or governmental support – he continued.

– It is a symbol, also a symbol of our successful EU membership – emphasized the Mayor of Warsaw.
