– We discussed the necessary, essential decisions related to foot-and-mouth disease. Minister Czesław Siekierski presented a very detailed report on the actions of all services, not just those subordinate to the ministry, not just the inspections, but also the Ministry of Interior and Administration is involved in these actions; generally, the entire government is focused on actions aimed at preventing the spread of foot-and-mouth disease into Poland – said Prime Minister Donald Tusk after a government meeting.

– We are controlling the borders, especially with Slovakia […] we made a decision today together with Minister Siekierski that we will intensify controls on the border with Slovakia, but also with the Czech Republic and Germany.
