Tusk on government actions regarding foot-and-mouth disease:

We will intensify controls on the borders with Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Germany.

– We discussed the necessary, essential decisions related to foot-and-mouth disease. Minister Czesław Siekierski presented a very detailed report on the actions of all services, not just those subordinate to the ministry, not just the inspections, but also the Ministry of Interior and Administration is involved in these actions; generally, the entire government is focused on actions aimed at preventing the spread of foot-and-mouth disease into Poland – said Prime Minister Donald Tusk after a government meeting.

– There is no foot-and-mouth disease in Poland, and that is very good news. […] Thank you for the actions taken, which preceded the European Union's actions, Mr. Minister Siekierski; these actions have yielded good results so far – he continued.

– We are controlling the borders, especially with Slovakia […] we made a decision today together with Minister Siekierski that we will intensify controls on the border with Slovakia, but also with the Czech Republic and Germany. […] In order to preventatively, prophylactically examine and control all transports without exception that arrive in Poland, for now from these three countries – he continued.
